Best method to seal carbon fibre tube
-
Hi all,
I have cut down and put holes in a square carbon fibre tube to fit on my Voron, but I am concerned about the loose fibres finding their way into the linear rail that I will be attaching to it. I've washed it in soapy water and pushed damp tissues through it to remove as much carbon fibre dust as I can.
Does anyone know the best way to seal the carbon away? I have an airbrush I could use. I was thinking of painting or spraying on some carbon fibre repair resin, but since I don't know exactly what resin was used to make the tube, I'm worried about flaking over time. It will be installed in an enclosure that can reach ~50°C, maybe a little higher in the future.

@threepwood
Look for Epoxy Casting/Sealing Resin.
