Temp excursions
-
Out of the blue my printer started failing due to heater faults (temp excursions). I looked for a reason and could find none. It heats up to temp and the thermistor works properly until it starts printing. After about 2 minutes it starts having excursions and not measuring properly.
- I just replaced the thermistor
- The wiring seems fine
- There is no part fan
- There is a silicone sock on the heater block
Could there be some interference from the motors or something?
I'm quite lost, any help would be appreciated.

@ian-miller Electrical noise is a possibility - more so with a PT100 than an NTC thermistor. Other possibilities are faulty wiring such as a bad crimp. This can happen when the head moves around such that the connection will make and break. Faulty temperature sensors are not unheard of either. If the excursions are short and sharp, it'll be the sensor and/or its wiring. If the excursions are slow and gradual, it'll be the heater and / or its wiring.

@deckingman Thanks for the suggestion, replaced the thermistor wire and now its working fine
