100C resettable Thermal Cut-Off for 24V heated beat
-
Hi I'm instaling a 100C auto-resettable Thermal cut-off my 24V head bed for my printer should I worry about the effect of transients on the output of the mosfet controling the PWM on my Duet?
Maybe a should use a non re-settable one...

@frcwifiduet Thermal fuses are not fast acting like fuses. As long as you don't stay above 100C for long where it's mounted, it may not trip.

In the Voron world, the recommendation is to use a one time fuse rather than resettable, but as for the PWM, I don't think it makes a difference.
BTW, what resettable thermal cut-off do you have in mind?

For now I mounted one exactly like those in a Kettle 100C ;-), after activation the thermo expandable medium while contract and close the circuit again...
