Hints about Magnet Filament Sensor FDM printing
-
Good morning, tired of my actual two (Chimera +) BBT filament sensors failure I've ordered a kit for an original Magnetic Sensor (I already own a complete one). Due to the impossibility to have a full and mounted kit I will have to print the housing in FDM (I haven't a resin printer). I think to print it in PETG at 0.1mm layer height. In dozuky it's written that printing the housing in PETG will result in the need of sanding and adjusting. What parts particullary are most probably to be adjusted and how?
Thanks

@thedragonlord Getting the "lid" holding the circuit board and the main part holding the mechanical parts to seat well is the trick. There are little pins that it sits on. It should be on a very slight tilt/angle with the magnet side higher before inserting the screws. This is a very small gap and may get messed up by the filament just not being precise enough, I did manage to get it working with PETG and some razor knife trimming. However I still wasn't happy with it. I re-did it in resin when I got access to a printer. Just be patient with it.
