D3 6HC fuse question
-
I have a duet 3 on a tronxy x5sa and I recently changed out the bed for a custom AL slab with a keenovo 24V 500W pad (has a dedicated 500W psu). My EE skills finally kicked in after popping two 15A fuses in which i realized i'll need 20A-25A fuses to run it properly. My question is: Is 25A too high a current for the mainboard itself or should i downgrade to a 360W psu and replace with like in kind fuses?

@jaad According to this https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_3_Mainboard_6HC_Hardware_Overview, the output is rated at 18 Amps.
Here is an extract from that link
Note that the board is rated to 18A on the bed heater channel; however it is supplied with a 15A fuse fitted (18A are difficult to source). If you need 18A on the bed heater channel then you need to fit a 20A fuse and take further precautions against over-current.
Edit. So the safe thing to do would be to use an SSR.
