Low voltage error
-
hello
my printer was originally a maker select v2 Cartesian
i have a duet 2 wifi v1.04
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.0 (2020-01-03b3)
Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.23Everything was fine and recently I was using the printer and for some reason when I had it running went for a coffee to see low voltage error and system paused
After some troubleshooting I noticed when my heated bed is off and hot end is at temp and I bump up the heated bed temp I get the error and x,y,z motors struggle to move and it pauses
Same thing in reverse when I try heated bed heated and hot end temp starts to climb
System is running with a 12v supply
I did notice a minor strange smell dono if it was the filament or the printer itself... everything else seems to work wellShould I maybe add a mosfet or something to help with this issue?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated I’m bored and confined in a boring home

Sounds like your power supply isn't able to keep up with the load, what supply, bed, heater and motor currents are you running? (Or the wires are too thin, or has poor connections somwhere, so some pictures may be a good idea)
You might be able to sacrifice some of the bed heating for stability, will however affect how long it takes to heat he bed, and the max temp likely

@bearer I’m using all stock hardware and I’m running the the config that someone uploaded onto the reprap config website
Connection might be loose sounds interesting will have to check as. Some of the factory wires were tinned wires maybe heat made the tin loosen should have cut the soldered wire ends off

You never want tinned wires in screw terminals!
(well, tin plated wires is ofcourse OK) -
I’ll take some pictures once I take this thing apart
