Available watercooling solutions
-
Hi there,
I am in the middle of planning my delta printer, most parts are purchased but I am still looking for watercooling solutions in combination with the smart effector.
The waterpump and radiator is no problem, I am struggling with the hotend heatsink.
There is a solution from well-engineered.net (1) but it is only for the groove mount e3d v6 heatsink not the one the smart effector uses.
Does someone have a working solution at hand and can point me in the right direction?
Cheers, Markus

thanks, I already found that thread, the threadstarter's solution looks nice but as far as I understand his solution involves a custom machined part as well as yours. I was hoping that there was some sort of an of-the-shelf part similar to what youprintin3d is currently selling.

have you seen this link in the thread i mentioned ?
additional heat block + short pipe or Zesty Kryo should you have a budget for it...

@c310 I followed the links you posted, it didn't become clear to me where you got the aluminum cooling block from.
Could you elaborate on that? Your thingiverse post shows up empty on my mobile phone. However, I ordered a zesty kryo and will give it a try. The only thing I am worried about is that the sls part of the kryo might have difficulties with the radiating heat from the heater block itself.

Both Brian & Lykle (the two parts of Zesty Tech) are very capable, they will have carried out due diligence, and if you have any concerns I would advise you to talk directly to them, and get the low down on the equipment straight from the horses mouth so to speak, they will be only too happy to help you.

this is not my design (with aluminium block). I think it is V5 heatblock with piece of pipe inserted in the place for heater cartridge.
zesty products are great!
p.s. this is thiniverce
