Duet WiFi 2 and Duet 5 +5Mini Connect to DWC Issues
-
Several months ago I started having issues with these two boards connecting to the DWC. Both boards boot up normally and most of the time they connect to my network and generate the correct IP address. I have them on fixed IP addresses. Often they will stop processing and show a blank screen. Sometimes if I close the tab and reopen it it will connect, sometimes I have to close the browser and reopen it. Sometimes nothing works and I have reboot the Duet's sometimes I have to reboot the computer. I can't find anything that consistently works but if I screw around with it long enough (which I usually have to do) I eventually get it to connect. Again, the problem and symptoms occur regularly with both boards. Once they finally connect they are pretty stable but reconnect a few times while the printer is running. Any ideas what is causing this? Last, the DWC seems to find the printer because the tab title changes to Duet Web Control but nothing loads after that. Thanks

@JADoglio Please post the output from running M122 so we can see what the versions are of the firmware you are running. It would also probably help if you post your config.g file. Also what version of DWC are you using? What has happened to your setup since it was working ok? Have you upgraded anything? Changed the WiFi router etc? Added something new to your network? How are you reserving the IP addresses you are using for your printers to ensure that your router is not giving the same address to another device?
Do you have any other printers on the same network using RRF are they working ok?

Hope this helps. Thanks
Set fixed IP address in router for all my printers including the RepRap printers.

Sounds like an similar issue I've previously run into with the same setup and it turned out to be a SD card issue. The solution that worked for me was that I took a different SD card, correctly formatted it to FAT32 if I remember correctly and than copied the files from the SD card in the duet to the new SD card, also make sure to save a back up somewhere.
If you boot up the page (in chrome), then right mouse button click inspect, and than go to the tab console, it may log an error (in my case) that it couldn't find the WWW folder which pointed me to exchanging the SD card.

@Tricep-terry Thanks I will give that a try.

@KenW Thanks for the advice and the article. Both were helpful and when I disconnected my second mesh repeater it seemed to be the problem. Looks like I need to relocate the repeater...
