Rotating magnet sensor willl not calibrate
-
I originally had the laser filament monitor, and did not like the way it performed. I recently purchased a rotating magnetic filament sensor. I resin printed the housing and assembled it all. I changed the code in my config.g to:
M591 D0 P3 C"e0_stop" R0:120 L24.8 E3.0 S1
I am running a 3dbenchy for a test print. When I send M591 D0 in the console, I get this message returned.
I am running these firmwares
Is there something that I have done wrong? It's assembled correctly, and seems to be reporting. Does the filament need to follow a certain path through the sensor? Could it be going through backwards?
Thank you

@surgikill It's possible that the rotating part is not rotating.
If you push filament forward and backwards through the sensor you should see the pattern of Red/Green LED blinks change.
If it continues the same Red/Green blinking when you are not or are moving filament through the sensor then the rotating part is not rotating or the magnet is not rotating.

@alankilian I was just checking that. It is in fact not rotating. I'll pull it apart and give it a look. It is all SLA printed.

@surgikill Mine is PLA printed also.
I found out that if I put the slider in upside-down it works better.
If you can figure out what that means.
