Help request testing and calibrating BLTouch
-
Hi, I didn't see any questions that answered my question but I would love to be wrong and pointed to the right page. Thanks for reading.
Here's the steps I followed, per
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probe
and
https://betrue3d.dk/bltouch-on-duet-wifi-configuratio-and-usage/Ender 3 (no Pro, no V2)
Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet v1.04, firmware updated to 3.3
BLTouch V2.0
All wires are correct and seated
I edited the X and Y offset of the BLTouch to correspond to my mounting location.(0) deployed sensor is about 2.5mm below nozzle
(1) deploy and retract work as normal
(2) dynamic test works
(3) I jog the nozzle down until it is just gripping a feeler gauge (0.10mm). During this step the BLTouch is triggered with Z-Probe value of 1000.
(4) G92 Z0
(5) Jog the head up 10mm. At this point I am unable to retract/deploy the probe.
(6) G30 S-1
Error: Probe already triggered at start of probing move
Also, I am unable to deploy the sensor unless I power cycle.===========================================================

Okay, I think I figured it out. In https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/Endstops it doesn't automatically select Z-probe in the endstop type for the Z axis when you select BLTouch. When I did so, it seems to have solved my issue.
