Just probe circumference of print bed?
-
Hi All,
I'm sure there is a way to define a custom bed levelling grid, but I cant for the life of me figure out how. I just want to probe the circumference of my circular bed.Any thoughts? I think I'm just missing something obvious... its late at night lol.

Hi , I try to be cooperative. Are calling "grid" the "number of point" of the standard calibration or do you mean the "grid compensation" to sum to the standard calibration?
Can I ask why you should probe just the perimeter points? For an optimal calibration are needed also the halfway points (and central of course).
At this page you can build your own bed.g. Is enough insert the radius and the number of point you desire to probe (for a max of 16 point mixed), and you can also specify the off set of the probe (if exist):

Thanks @giostark, that's great. In fact it's just the sort of thing I wanted to know. So I take it from that the bed.g holds the mesh point locations.
I'm printing on a mirror, on a flat bed levelled at 3 points, I just need to allow for inaccuracies in the bed plane.
Many thanks
