The data that I used in my example came from your Z axis but for my example I assumed X.

The math is the same in either case and the value I came up with was 1.003 which is a good deal smaller than 1.055.

Using the size of the cube at 21 we can adjust the value.

1.055 * (20 / 21) = 1.004 which is close to the 1.003 that I came up with.

So just keep adjusting the value until you get the desired results.

Regarding the Z endstop switch, you can define the Z homing sequence (in homez.g and homeall.g) to move the print head to a suitable XY location before it executes the Z homing move. But perhaps it would be safer to adjust the position of the switch so that it triggers a little higher up, if that's possible. Alternatively, if the machine has a Z probe, you can use that to home Z instead of using the homing switch.

In your homing files, you can have the head move to a safe position after homing X and Y to avoid crashing into the metalwork.

Your config.g is wrong. You have:

M305 P0 ; Configure PT1000 for heater 0
M305 P1 ; Configure PT1000 for heater 1

A cursory review of the documentation shows you need more parameters than that.

I meant you to leave the M305 commands in config.g alone, but to run those 2 commands from the console, to check that the 2 heaters were configured to use PT1000 sensors.

Thanks for your reply Tony and confirming the fan and thermistor positions.

I'm not sure whether it is just a switch that senses the if the filament has run out or if it is a rotary encoder.

I'm working on it this weekend and hopefully I will get it up and running soon.
