how do i unassign a drive? -
RE: Z Motor weak / one missing [solved for now]
Mouvement out of 3 motors remapped as per config with low acceleration, still missing the 4th motor connected to Z output of DUET wifi
-
RE: Z Motor weak / one missing [solved for now]
Reduced the Z acceleration from 200 to 50. Now going up and down as expected.
Still no output from drive 2 Z motor... -
RE: Z Motor weak / one missing [solved for now]
[Update] From what i hear from theZ axis motor is that the signal frequency is too high and motors start skipping assoonas they recieve a signal . going downward is easier...

RE: Z Motor weak / one missing [solved for now]
@supraguy said in Z Motor weak / one missing:
then that motor will be open circuit, since the second motor boss is in series with the first one.
Jumpers are present, and installed as per factory. could they be defective? i doubt but at this point... i'll check
thanks

Z Motor weak / one missing [solved for now]
System is 24 volts powered
Core XY
This is my Driver mapping. I am controlling 4 nema 23 motors
M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4:5:6 ; Assign drivers to Z axis
X and Y are fine-
Z axis I have 3 turning and one that refuses to turn.
I swapped motor between drive 4 and drive 2 to confirm motor is good (and it is). The drive 2 not turning. -
The 3 that are turning i can easily stop the with my hand.
I tried increasing the current with M906 X800.00 Y800.00 Z1200 E1200:1200:1200 I30.
no luck

Change of plan. Installed DUEX2 and connect all motors using spare drivers

RE: External driver (HY-DIV268N) to a duet wifi [Solved]
Yes
This is exactly how i went about connecting the driver.
This is the driver i am using (picture).
EN+ on expansion #7 ,
PUL+ on 5
DIR+ on 6
and all - on expansion 2 gndDiagnostic info
-
when moving or homing all i get is small burst of weak movement every 5 seconds interval ???
-
I have disconnected everything but one motor to try to isolate the issue, same.

External driver (HY-DIV268N) to a duet wifi [Solved]
I am trying to connect those drivers to a duet wifi and cannot get them to operate.
The drivers are powered at 24 VDC, so is the duet on the same power supply.
Somehow i have the feeling that i should connect the 5v to the driver but there ain't no input for it.
I have remapped the output to the expansion connector, pins 2,5,6 and 7 using this command in the config.g file M584 X0 Y1 Z5 E3when moving or homing all i get is small burst of weak movement every 15 seconds or so

RE: Main config file for core XY [solved]
- The main config file is in fact "config.g"
- The movement section was created by adding a commented line ";movement section" followed by the required commands...

Main config file for core XY [solved]
Currently configuring a coreXY machine, from the documentation i am supposed to add "M667 S1 ; switch to CoreXY mode" to the main configuration file in the movement section.
I assume that we are talking about "config.g" and the movement section is just a section that the user create using a comment and calling it movement section or whatever.
Is there an order to respect when creating this section or it can be anywhere in the file?Thank you

Dual motor Z axis nema 23 motors
Shall i use an external driver or will the internal hold up to the job? I saw that the recommended current shall be under 3 amps. My 2 motors have Peak Current is 2.8A/phase. So my idea was to use the Z output to drive an d1542ma connected to both motors at the output. Any recommendation anyone
