1XD brake control without signal

I'm reading the guide here on how to add a brake. I'm using an external power-off brake that simply needs 24V (300ma) and I want to wire it to out_0 on the 1XD. The example in the guide shows an M950 and M581 to control the output by a control signal from the motor, but I don't have that. What should I do so that the brake is powered (motor free) when that motor is enabled, and not powered (motor braking) when it is disabled?

@p8blr what do you mean you don't have those gcodes?
What firmware are you running on both boards? Maybe a bit more info about your setup

@p8blr please upgrade to firmware 3.4.0 and use the M569.7 command instead to control the brake, see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#m5697-configure-motor-brake-port.
