[Duet3 6HC] 5-24V trigger Laser via gcode without axis-movement
-
Dear community,
I am planning to use the Duet3 6HC to control a kind of 2D-Laser"cutter" but instead of activating the laser while the axis are moving, it is supposed to be active while the axis are standing still (for a short time) at a specified coordinate.
The used laser needs a 5-24V triggersignal to start emission. I wasn't able to test that yet and I haven't found a lot of similar problems in a google quicksearch, so I hope you guys have an idea.My first idea was to get the triggersignal from a fan/heater pin that can be activated via GCode for a specified time, could that be a valid approach or are there better ways to do so?
Thanks for your help and best regards

This might do it for you. https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode?revisionid=HEAD#Section_M571_Set_output_on_extrude

@phaedrux Thanks for your answer. I am going to try that approach as soon as possible and really hope that this already solves my problem

@phaedrux it seems to be working like a charm. Was only able to try it once, but it worked so far. Using out7 to give 12V when virtual extruder is active. There was some error messages regarding "Driver0", but I had no time yet to get further into it.
Thanks again for your fast help!
